Janitor, otherwise known as Janny, is a moderating position that is a tier lower than a Mod. Jannies are usually prevalent on imageboards, where they can delete threads and give out short bans. Jannies doing it for free is a common misconception, as they actually do their jobs for negative wage, having to pay for electricity and Internet connection expenses in order to be able to moderate their boards in the first place, geg!
Jannies are symbolically represented by Mr. Morris from an animated TV show "Arthur".
